Real Estate Law
Greenwald & Strongin P.C. has a national real estate practice that includes the representation of corporate and entrepreneurial clients, in commercial and residential financing and real estate workouts and restructuring.
Our experience has included property and air-rights/air-space acquisitions, sales and financing. We represent landlords and tenants in purchase, sale, financing and lease transactions for office, retail and commercial space ranging in size from a single small commercial unit to larger office buildings.
We have represented developers, general contractors, engineers, architects as well as boards of cooperatives. Our experience includes working with owners, tenants and developers through the design, development and construction phases of a project.
We also represent purchasers and sellers of residential cooperatives, condos and houses in the New York City metropolitan area.
Not-for-Profit and Specialized Entities
Having served as counsel to large national not-for-profit entities, we advise and counsel not-for-profit entities and their Boards of Directors and trustees with respect to corporate governance, financial matters and strategic planning and implementation.
We have worked with not-for-profit groups in helping to negotiate and contract for sophisticated membership programs for constituents in such areas as financial, insurance and pharmacy services, as well as in all areas of general operations. We have assisted not-for-profit groups in managing their real estate needs and in facilitating their relationships with vendors, consultants and other contractors.
Trust and Estates
We counsel clients with respect to estate and financial planning and prepare wills, trusts and related documents. We represent estates in probate and administration proceedings.
